About Me

I’m a creative person but haven’t always allowed myself the space to express it. My career has taken me to the height of technical innovation. I have traveled to exciting places all around the world visiting over nineteen countries experiencing the wealth of culture. I began painting in the mid nineties as something new to try. I chose oil on canvas to challenge me and have loved this medium ever since! 

I grew up in the American Midwest attending college and starting my technical career. In the mid nineties I decided to move to the west coast and settle in the Seattle area. I love it here and immediately transitioned to a large technical company at the start of the internet age. Also having a focus on high level athletics and competitions kept me very busy but I had looked for a creative outlet. Creating drawings since I was very young, I subsequently looked for ways to infuse creativity and design in all that I do.

My style is influenced by the impressionistic masters of Monet, Manet, Pissarro, Renoir, Degas, Sisley, and others. I allow my paintings to sometimes flow to more detailed work just to shake things up! Abstracts give me yet another release.
